This is the Pleomatic field guide briefing for October. Diwali falls on Sunday, November eighth, and the three weeks before it decide how November's calendar looks. Most clinics reach for a blanket discount. A discount pays everyone, including the people who were already booking, and it teaches clients to wait for the next sale. Open a booking window instead. Pick the dates: open now, and close on Thursday, November fifth, the day before Dhanteras. Hold your best hours for the week of November second to seventh, and show the count of slots left. Offer two or three packages at your normal prices, where the extra is a visit or a service, such as a consult, the treatment and a follow-up. Reply to every enquiry inside a minute, and send reminders twenty-four hours and two hours before each visit. Keep your message simple: the dates, the price, and what is included. Leave outcome claims out, and check your council's advertising rules. Then count the window. Track bookings by source, how many used held slots, and how many were new clients. Sell the slot, not the discount. The full guide has the twenty-day calendar and the message you can copy.

Diwali is a deadline, so sell the slot

Diwali falls on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with Dhanteras on Friday, November 6 and Bhai Dooj on Tuesday, November 10. Your clients have family visits, gatherings and photographs on that calendar, and the festival sets their deadline for them. In the three weeks before it, people who have been thinking about a visit decide to book it.

That makes your calendar the scarce thing, not your price. A plan built around slots fills the hours you most want filled, the late afternoons and the weekend mornings, and it leaves your price list as it is. Festival dates come from almanacs and can differ by a day between regions, so confirm them against your local panchang before anything is printed.

What a blanket discount spends

A blanket discount pays everyone, including the people who were already booking. Say your treatment is ₹5,000 and you offer 20% off for the festival. Every booking in the window gives up ₹1,000. If 30 of the 50 bookings were already on their way, that is ₹30,000 of revenue handed to people who had decided. A discount also tells clients what your price "really" is, and it teaches them to wait for the next one.

A window gives the other 20 people what they needed, a reason to book now, and it costs nothing on the 30. The reason is the closing date and the count of slots left. See the price-question playbook for how to keep the conversation on value when someone asks for a discount anyway.

The window, in four parts

  1. Dates. Open on Monday, October 19 and close on Thursday, November 5, the day before Dhanteras. A closing date is the reason to book today, so put it in every message.
  2. Held slots. Take your calendar for Monday, November 2 to Saturday, November 7 and hold your best hours for window bookings. Release anything unclaimed back to the normal calendar when the window closes. Show the count: "6 festive slots left."
  3. Packages with fixed contents. Offer two or three bundles at your normal prices, where the extra is a visit or a service. The client sees more included and your price list does not move.
  4. Fast replies and reminders. In festival week your held slots are your inventory. Reply to every enquiry inside a minute (the 60-second reply rule) and remind every booking 24 hours and 2 hours before the visit (no-show recovery).

What goes in a package

The package is the commercial wrapper. Your practitioner decides what is clinically suitable for each person, and the bundle simply puts the right visits together under one booking. Examples that keep the price list intact:

  • Dental clinic: check-up, cleaning and a follow-up visit, booked as one.
  • Salon or spa: a service plus a refresher visit within 30 days.
  • Aesthetic clinic: consult, treatment and a review visit.
  • Fitness studio: a festive class pack with a fixed validity and fixed class times.

Anything that needs a run of visits has a last start date: Diwali minus the length of the plan. A three-week plan needed a start by Sunday, October 18, so from today offer it as "book your first visit now, complete it after Diwali." For when packages help and the refund clause every invoice needs, read the package pricing guide.

The message that carries it

Use one message on your WhatsApp status, your Google Business Profile post, Instagram and your reply to every enquiry:

"Festive booking window: open until Thursday, November 5. Festive slots on November 2 to 7. Two packages, fixed prices, follow-up visit included. Reply with your preferred day and we hold your slot."

Keep festive copy inside your professional council's advertising rules and ASCI guidance: state the price, what is included and the dates, and leave outcome claims and before-and-after images out. When an offer says free, it is free, and any condition sits in the same line.

Your twenty-day calendar

  • Monday, October 19 to Wednesday, October 21: choose two or three packages, hold the slots, write the message.
  • Thursday, October 22: publish the window on every channel and message the people from the last 90 days who enquired and did not book (the reactivation guide has the sequence).
  • Monday, October 26: send a reminder with the slots left.
  • Monday, November 2: send the last-week message; the held slots open for use.
  • Thursday, November 5: the window closes; release unclaimed slots.
  • Friday, November 6 to Tuesday, November 10: festival days; confirmations and reminders only.
  • Wednesday, November 11: thank everyone who booked and offer a follow-up slot for weeks four to six.

Count the window afterwards

Tag every festive link with utm_campaign=diwali-2026 so the source survives to the booking (keeping the campaign source through WhatsApp shows how). After November 11, write down four counts: bookings by source, how many used held slots, how many were new clients, and revenue per booked slot against a normal week. Those four counts decide the next season's window before you start it.

A festive window is a three-week campaign with a start, an end and a count. That shape is easy to run and easy to review, and it is the same shape you reuse for the next season.
